    Benidorm nightlife guide

Benidorm runs the densest nightlife strip in Europe — hundreds of tribute bars, cabaret rooms, cocktail terraces and late-night clubs packed into a few square kilometres of the Costa Blanca. This guide breaks the resort down zone by zone, with tonight's live shows below and a directory of the best venues underneath.

Almost every bar show is free entry. You pay for drinks at the bar, not at the door.

194 shows on this list — updated daily from venue line-ups.

    By venue

The Strip — Rincón de Loix (British nightlife)

The British strip — centred on Calle Gerona and the streets around the Rincón de Loix end of Levante — is what most UK visitors mean when they say "Benidorm nightlife". Dozens of tribute and cabaret bars run free-entry shows every night from around 8pm, with the headline acts going on between 9pm and 11pm. Expect tributes to ABBA, Queen, Tina Turner, Rod Stewart, Adele, Take That, Olly Murs and a rotating cast of stand-up comedy, drag and bingo nights.

The Club Strip — Calle Mallorca

When the bars wind down around 1am the clubs take over. Calle Mallorcaand the parallel streets at the New Town end of Levante hold most of Benidorm's proper late-night clubs and discotecas, plus the "Square" area. For EDM and electronic music, Insomnia Benidorm on Calle Gerona books international guest DJs and runs themed parties until 5am. Music is mostly UK chart, R&B and Spanish dance. Most clubs open from around 11pm and run until 6am or later in July and August.

    Levante Beachfront

The Levante seafront mixes restaurant terraces with cocktail bars and open-air live music. It's the most relaxed option for a sunset drink before moving on to a show further inland.

    Old Town (Casco Antiguo)

The Casco Antiguo is the Spanish heart of the resort. Tapas bars, cocktail terraces and live Spanish acoustic music around Plaza Castelar and the old fishing-port lanes. Slower, more local, less tribute-act and more guitar duo.

What to expect on a typical night

    • Drinks: pints €2.50–€4, spirit and mixer €5–€7, cocktails €6–€9.
    • Dress code: smart-casual; most bars don't enforce a code, most clubs don't allow flip-flops or vests.
    • Cash and card both accepted in almost every venue.
    • Licensed taxis are cheap (€5–€10 anywhere inside the resort). Don't take unmarked cars.
    • Most bars run two acts a night — the second set is usually quieter and easier to grab a table for.

    Where to stay for nightlife

For maximum walking distance to the strip and clubs, stay anywhere along Avenida Mediterráneo or the streets immediately behind Levante beach. For a quieter base with the Old Town tapas scene on the doorstep, pick the area between Plaza Castelar and Poniente.
