    Benidorm's award-winning restaurants

Six Benidorm restaurants hold a Guía Repsol Solete, the Spanish guide's award for places worth seeking out. None holds a full Repsol Sol, and there is no Michelin-starred restaurant in Benidorm; the nearest star is at El Xato in La Nucía, inland from the resort, which also holds a Repsol Sol. Most Solete holders cost under €35 a head on Repsol's own price band.

    D-Vora, Old Town

D-Vora sits on Plaça de Sant Jaume in the RH Canfali hotel, with a sea-view terrace. The cooking is creative Mediterranean with international touches, such as a crispy Nikkei bonito taco and truffled potato tortilla, and Repsol flags vegan and coeliac options. The €20 three-course executive menu is the best-value way in; book by phone or online.

    La Cava Aragonesa, Tapas Alley

Open since 1980 on Plaça de la Constitució, La Cava Aragonesa serves Aragonese tapas and pinchos along a long bar. Order the seasonal tapas and the pincho a toda vela. A three-course menu runs to about €14, according to an April 2026 guide.

    Malaspina

Malaspina on Avenida de Panamá is the priciest of the six, at €35 to €60 a head. Repsol highlights its rice dishes and aged meats cooked over coals.

    La Fava

La Fava on Calle La Palma does creative home-style cooking: aged-beef meatballs, an oxtail croissant and rice dishes. It has vegan and coeliac options and is recommended by Cristina Figueira, chef at El Xato.

    Las Gaviotas and Chico Calla

Las Gaviotas on Calle Esperanto is an Andalusian fried-fish house: order the fritura of pescadilla, gambón, calamares and boquerones. Chico Calla on Calle Tomàs Ortuño is a wine bar with Mediterranean plates, including free-range eggs with porcini, foie and black truffle.

    Spanish rice and seafood

Rice is the local speciality, and Spaniards eat it at lunch rather than dinner. Visit Benidorm lists red mullet and pumpkin soupy rice and anchovy and spinach rice among the town's traditional dishes.

    • Ducado, Calle Almería, Rincón de Loix (opposite Hotel Don Pancho): arroz a banda, arroz del senyoret and salt-crusted fish, about €60 a head with wine. Small room, so book.
    • Ulía, Poniente seafront: lobster rice and grilled cigalas, about €60 a head with wine.
    • La Falúa, Calle Santander near Poniente: rice, Chateaubriand and saffron monkfish since 2007, with a €60 tasting menu.
    • Aitona, Avenida Ruzafa 2: Valencian paella and arroz a banda, with a €12.50 menú del día (€15 at weekends). Busy in summer.
    • La Mejillonera, off Paseo de la Carretera in the Old Town: mussels a dozen ways, bravas and paella since 1981, about €20 to €25 a head. Expect queues.
    • Mal Pas, Calle Santa Faç by the port: Levantine rice and seafood.
    • Also see our page on Restaurante El Puerto near the harbour.

    Tapas and pintxos

The Old Town is the place for tapas, with portions at about €2.50 to €5. Our Tapas Alley guide covers the bar-hopping route in detail.

Alongside La Cava Aragonesa, La Tapería Aurrera serves creative pintxos and sharing plates of meat and fish; see Aurrera Bar Pintxos. Barceló's guide also names La Txapela, El Gaztelutxo, Tragantona and Taberna Saltoki in the Basque-style pintxos cluster.

    Fine dining and special occasions

For a celebration, book one of Benidorm's high-rise or hotel dining rooms. Expect €60 to €75 a head.

    Llum de Mar

On the top floor of Hotel Villa Venecia in the Old Town, Llum de Mar serves Mediterranean dishes such as salt cod gratin and hake with white prawns. A tasting menu with wine is about €65 to €75.

    Belvedere

Belvedere is on the 21st floor of the Hotel Madeira Centro on Calle Esperanto. Chef Kiko Lázaro's mar y montaña tasting menu has been featured by Guía Repsol, though the restaurant holds no Sol.

    International restaurants

Benidorm's international scene is huge, especially in Levante and the Rincón de Loix. These are among the most-reviewed on TripAdvisor's Benidorm list in October 2026:

    • Amigos Restaurant & Roof Terrace: steakhouse, nearly 2,900 reviews.
    • Marisquería Córdoba: seafood, more than 4,000 reviews.
    • Kathmandu Benidorm and Turmeric: Indian and Nepalese. See our Indian restaurants in Benidorm guide.
    • Italian Twist and Mamma Leone (Calle Lepanto 20): Italian. See Italian restaurants and pizza in Benidorm.
    • The Vagabond: French and Mediterranean.

    British comfort food

If you want a fry-up or a roast, Benidorm's British bars have it covered. Our full English breakfast guide lists breakfasts from €4.50, and our Sunday roast guide covers roasts from about €11.

Two names come up in both: The Corner Bar in the Rincón de Loix, with a €5.50 full English and Sunday roasts, and Refuel in the Old Town, with more than 2,200 TripAdvisor reviews. For pub grub with a pint, browse our Irish bars and Benidorm bars pages.

    Vegetarian and vegan options

We could not verify a fully vegan restaurant in Benidorm. The safest choices are D-Vora and La Fava, both flagged by Guía Repsol for vegan and coeliac options. Our vegan and vegetarian Benidorm guide lists more options.

For breakfast, Caspers in the Old Town does a vegetarian and a gluten-free full English. In tapas bars, ask staff whether stocks and sauces contain meat or fish.

Menú del día and Spanish meal times

A menú del día is a fixed-price lunch, usually a starter, main and dessert with bread and a drink, and it is the best-value meal in Spain. In Benidorm it typically costs €12 to €18, with upscale versions around €20.

    • Lunch usually runs from about 14:00 to 14:30, finishing around 15:00 to 15:30.
    • Merienda, a snack, is taken around 18:00.
    • Dinner is from about 20:30 to 23:00. Spanish restaurants may be empty at 19:00 and full at 22:00.
    • Order rice dishes at lunchtime, as locals do.
    • For more on costs, see our Benidorm prices 2026 guide.
