    Winter in Benidorm's bars

    Benidorm is one of the few European resorts that never really shuts. Thousands of British visitors spend the winter here, and the show bars of the Rincón de Loix and Calle Gerona keep running nightly programmes through December, January and February. What changes is choice: a handful of venues take a break, usually from early January, and the ones that stay open lean on resident acts rather than touring tributes.

    Christmas and New Year are as busy as many summer weeks, and February brings Benidorm Fest and Carnival. If a favourite bar is closed, check its venue page for the reopening date, and see what's on tonight for alternatives.
