The Sky Bar
The Sky Bar on the roof, at the 52nd floor, has the best view of Benidorm bay and its towers. Non-guests can go up: a recent visitor review gives €18 including a drink. Reserve ahead in summer and at sunset, and check opening days in winter. For other high-level drinks, see our rooftop bars guide.
Rooms
Double rooms sit on floors 22 to 41, with sky-view rooms higher up and suites, some with a jacuzzi, near the top. The official site listed sky-view doubles from about €66 a night in low season. Expect sea views on the higher floors and lift queues at peak breakfast times.
Facilities and entertainment
The hotel has three swimming pools, a wellness centre, a game room and Bali Park, a children's play area of more than 500 m². Evening entertainment runs in the hotel, and it offers storage and services for cycling guests heading for the inland climbs (see our cycling guide).
Location: is La Cala right for you?
La Cala is the quiet, residential end of Poniente, about 15 minutes by car from the centre. It suits families and couples who want a calm base near the beach. If you want to walk to the shows every night, stay in the Rincón de Loix instead and visit the Bali for the Sky Bar. See Poniente for the area.
Pros and cons
Pros: the views, the landmark experience, good pools, family facilities, value for a four-star.
Cons: distance from the Strip, a very large hotel with queues at busy times, and guest reviews that describe some rooms as dated.
Fun facts
The tower was built between 1988 and 2002.
In October 2010, the tightrope walker Mustafa Danger set a Guinness World Record by riding a motorbike along a cable of more than 500 m between the Tossal de La Cala and the hotel.
The Bali group also owns two other Benidorm hotels, the Cabana and Benidorm Center.
