What does a soul night in Benidorm look like?
A Benidorm soul night is usually one of three things: a Motown tribute show, a solo soul singer working through the classics, or a DJ night built on northern soul and Motown records. All three run in free-entry bars, mostly in the Rincón de Loix and around the Square on Avenida de Mallorca.
Soul made up 111 of the 1,381 shows in our listings in the fortnight from 15 October 2026, second only to rock among the genres we track. It is spread across a dozen venues rather than concentrated in one, so the live list above is the quickest way to see who is on where. For the wider picture, see our live music bars guide.
Where to find soul and Motown
These are the venues that listed the most soul and Motown in our fortnight from 15 October 2026. Where we have no independent description of a bar, we describe it by what we list there.
Valentines
Valentines had the most soul and Motown in our listings, with 10 shows, and 37 shows of all kinds. It has closed for the early part of past winters, reportedly until March, so check before a January or February visit.
Soul Bar
Soul Bar does what its name says: 9 of its listed shows in the fortnight were soul or Motown acts, making it the most specialised soul room in our data.
Sinatras
Sinatras on Calle Lepanto 12 listed 8 soul shows and is the host venue for the Benisoul weekender. A holiday guide also reports two-for-one deals on local beer and spirits there; offers change, so ask at the bar. Its sister room is Sinatras Premium.
Philippines 10, Café Benidorm and The Royal Arrow
Philippines 10 listed 8 soul shows, Café Benidorm 7 and The Royal Arrow 7. Café Benidorm is one of the long-hours venues on the Square, with published hours running from 20:00 into the early morning.
Motown tributes and soul acts on the circuit
Tribute shows built around one artist or group are the backbone of the soul scene. These acts appeared in our listings in the fortnight from 15 October 2026.
| Act | Style |

| Benidorm Temptations Tribute | Temptations harmony group |
| Diana Ross and The Supremes Experience | Supremes show |

Northern soul in Benidorm
Northern soul has its own following here. Our listings in the fortnight from 15 October 2026 included a Northern Soul and Motown Classics DJ night and KTF Soultown, a northern soul duo, alongside Soul Nfusion and Soul Girl by Nikki Miller.
The biggest date is Benisoul: the 2027 edition is listed for Wednesday 10 to Sunday 14 February 2027 at Sinatras, running 13:00–03:00 with northern soul, Motown, reggae and ska, for ages 16 and over. Our Benidorm in February guide covers the rest of that month.
Soul in the daytime and early evening
You do not have to wait for midnight. Jolly Roger Beach Bar listed 5 soul shows in the fortnight, many of its sets falling in the afternoon, and the Supremes Experience was among its acts. Riviera Music Lounge and Talk of the Town Cabaret also put soul on their bills.
That makes soul a good fit for couples and older visitors who want a dance without a 01:00 finish; our Benidorm for over-60s guide has more ideas in the same vein.
Practical tips for a soul night
Entry is free, so budget for drinks only. Most soul shows sit in the main 21:00–23:00 slot, so arriving by about 21:00 gets you a table near the floor.
- Wear comfortable shoes if you plan to dance; northern soul nights are about the floor.
- Bars publish line-ups a few days ahead, so a favourite act may move venue from one week to the next.
- Prefer guitars? Try our rock bars page. Prefer cabaret with soul in the mix? See cabaret bars.
- For every act on tonight, whatever the genre, see what's on tonight.
