What's on in Benidorm in June

The Night of San Juan is June's local highlight. The Hoguera La Cala commission, in the La Cala end of Poniente, held its flower offering at 19:00 on 23 June and burnt its bonfire monument (the cremà) from 22:30 on 24 June in 2025, and the same pattern is expected in 2027, when 23 June is a Wednesday. Rules on beach bonfires were not published, so do not assume they are allowed.

What's open and closed in June

Everything is open in June, and beach services switch to summer mode.

    • Beaches: in 2026 the reinforced service ran from 1 June, with lifeguards 10:00–19:00 in June, nine each on Levante and Poniente. Free floating platforms open from 15 June.

Is June a good time to visit Benidorm?

June is arguably the best all-round month: beach-ready sea, long days and fewer crowds than July and August. Imserso's high season still covers June.

    • Families: early June beats school-holiday queues at the parks; see Benidorm with kids.
    • Couples: long evenings and sunsets past 20:00 on Poniente.
    • Groups and stags: the Strip and the Square are busy every night.
    • Over-60s: still comfortable, though midday sun is strong; use the shade.

Packing and practical tips for June

Pack high-factor sun cream and a hat: 10 hours of sun a day burns quickly. Remember glass and alcohol are banned on Benidorm's beaches under the beach ordinance. Book a sunbed (about €6 a day on the official concession price list) or bring a towel. Next: Benidorm in July.
