Levante Beach at a glance
Levante is the beach most people picture when they think of Benidorm: a long, golden curve backed by high-rise hotels and a busy promenade. It is one of two Blue Flag beaches in our Benidorm beaches guide, alongside Poniente.
Spain's tourism board puts it at about 2,000 m long and 40 m wide, with golden sand, calm water and mostly international visitors. An unofficial guide based on council figures gives 2,084 m and an average width of 55 m. Either way, there is room to walk end to end along the shore in about half an hour.
The beach is described as "vibrant and busy from morning till late", with bars, live music and cocktail bars along the promenade. If you want quieter sand, head to the Rincón de Loix end early in the day.
Services and facilities
Levante is one of the best-equipped beaches on the coast. Spain's tourism board lists toilets, footbaths, sunbed and parasol hire, water sports hire, a children's area and a tourist office.
The unofficial council-based figures add 19 walkway accesses, 19 foot-shower modules, 2 ecological toilets, 5 lifeguard stations, playgrounds, 2 sports areas and free Wi-Fi.

Sunbeds and parasols on Levante
Levante has the most hire equipment in Benidorm, with around 4,600 loungers and 1,400 parasols according to the unofficial count. The official concession list covers sectors 1 to 10 on Levante, at about €6 for a sunbed and €6 for a parasol.
That price list was last updated in 2022 and a 2026 guide quotes €6–€8, so check the sign at your sector. In high summer the front rows go early, so arrive by mid-morning if you want to be near the water.
Accessible bathing at C/ Murcia
Levante's accessible point is at C/ Murcia. In summer 2026 it ran from 09:30 to 18:30 with three dedicated lifeguards.
The council's accessible beaches plan lists amphibious chairs for adults and children, amphibious crutches, a ramp and walkway to the sea, and an adapted changing room and toilet. Staff help bathers into the chairs and go into the water with them. The same area has been a voluntary smoke-free space since 2024.
The flat Levante promenade also makes the beach practical for wheelchair users and those using mobility scooters. Our over-60s guide covers more accessible ideas.
Things to do on and around Levante
Levante is more than sunbathing. Several of Benidorm's best-known activities start on or just behind the beach.
Cable Ski Benidorm
Visit Benidorm calls it "the world's first Cable Ski". It is at Av. de Madrid 33 in the Rincón de Loix, and the Levante platform runs from Easter to October. Manawa lists beginner sessions from €33 for two hours.
Walks from the Rincón de Loix
The Ruta La Cruz to the Benidorm Cross starts at the Rincón de Loix tourist point (C/ Gerona at Av. Derramador). It is 5 km return, about 3 hours, with a 237 m climb.
The easier walk to the 17th-century Torre de les Caletes is about 4 km return from the end of C/ Sierra Dorada.
The Levante street market
A street market runs in the Rincón de Loix on Wednesdays and Sundays, 08:00–14:00, according to a market directory. Our Benidorm outdoor markets guide compares the sources.
Levante after dark
When the sun goes down, the action moves a street or two back from the sand. The Levante area and the Rincón de Loix are packed with bars and show venues, and the Strip on Calle Gerona is a short walk inland.
Check what's on tonight for the evening's tribute acts and shows, or read our Benidorm nightlife guide to plan the night. Remember that drinking on the beach is banned, so take the party to a licensed terrace.
Beach rules to know
Levante follows Benidorm's 2009 beach ordinance. Minor offences, including urinating in the sea or on the sand, can be fined up to €750.

- No tents or overnight stays at any time of year.
- No soap, gel or shampoo at the showers.
- Ball games only where they do not bother others, or in designated zones.
- No dogs, except assistance and rescue dogs.
Best time to visit Levante
The sea off Benidorm is warmest from July to September, at about 25–26°C, and June and October average about 22.6°C. Spring and autumn give you more space on the sand.
For a live view of the seafront before you head down, use our Benidorm live cam. The Benidorm weather guide has monthly sunshine and rain figures. If you fancy a change of scene, the small Mal Pas beach is on the other side of the Old Town headland.
