Poniente, Benidorm

Poniente is Benidorm's western beach, stretching from the Old Town headland towards La Cala. It is longer and quieter than Levante, with a striking modern promenade, a more Spanish crowd and a slower pace.

Nightlife here is low-key: seafront bars and restaurants, hotel show lounges and a few British bars rather than a strip of show bars. It suits families, couples and anyone who wants a peaceful base with the option of a taxi to the Rincón de Loix or Calle Gerona for a big night.

Sunsets over Poniente are among the best in Benidorm, and the promenade is busy with walkers and runners in the early evening. The Benidorm Half Marathon uses the seafront here as well as Levante.

If you are staying in Poniente, the Old Town is a short walk for tapas and bars, and taxis to the Rincón take around ten minutes.
