The best things to do in Benidorm with kids
The best family days in Benidorm mix a morning on a lifeguarded beach with a park, a boat or a playground, then a relaxed evening of hotel or bar entertainment. This page is part of our things to do in Benidorm guide.
- Slides at Aqualandia (summer only) and shows at Mundomar next door.
- Rides at Terra Mítica and animals at Terra Natura.
- The island boat, with underwater windows on the Acuario II.
- Free playgrounds, beaches and walks (see free things to do in Benidorm).
Theme and water parks for families
All four parks sell cheaper junior tickets for ages 4–12 and let under-3s in free; buying online saves €5–7 per child at Aqualandia and Terra Mítica. Compare the parks side by side in our Benidorm theme parks guide.
Aqualandia
Junior tickets are €33 at the gate or €28 online. Most slides need a minimum height of 1.20 m, but smaller children can use the kids' area, the pools and the Mini Zig-Zag with an adult. Under-13s must be accompanied by someone over 18. You can bring your own food (no cans or glass), and parking is free. The 2026 season ran from 23 May to 27 September.
Mundomar
A ticket reseller lists child tickets at €26 at the gate, or from €21 online. The dolphin, sea lion and parrot shows suit younger children, and each dolphin demonstration lasts about 30 minutes. There is a picnic area with microwaves, which is handy for toddlers.
Terra Mítica
Junior tickets are €35 at the gate or €30 online in low season, rising to €42 or €37 in high season. The big coasters need 1.30–1.40 m and are recommended for ages 10–14 and up, so younger children will spend most of the day in the dedicated family zones such as Cuca Park. Outside food is not allowed inside.
Terra Natura and Aqua Natura
Child tickets for the zoo start at about €27, and a one-day combo with the Aqua Natura water park is listed at €39 per child.
Beaches with children
Levante and Poniente are the best family beaches: both have lifeguards, children's play areas and pushchair access, and both hold Blue Flags for 2026.
In summer the council adds free floating platforms and beach libraries (biblioplayas). A sunbed and parasol cost about €12 together on the official price list. See our Benidorm beaches guide and the pages on Levante and Poniente.
| Service | Dates | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Lifeguards (reinforced cover) | 1 June – 30 September | 10:00–19:00 in June; 09:00–20:00 July–September |
| Free floating platforms (Levante and Poniente) | 15 June – 1 September | 11:00–19:00 |
| Beach libraries | Summer, Tuesday to Sunday | 11:00–16:00 |
Playgrounds and parks
Benidorm has around 20 free municipal playgrounds, so there is usually one within a short walk of your hotel.
The Parque de l'Aigüera, a 400 m park designed by Ricardo Bofill between the Old Town and the bullring, has two playgrounds. Others are in Parc de Foietes, Parque de Elche (Dama de Elche), on the Poniente seafront, at La Cala and in Xaloc. El Moralet park, on a circular woodland route from the Guillermo Amor stadium, adds a zip line, picnic areas and a play area.
Easy family walks
Three short walks suit children, and the Torre de les Caletes route is the only one where you can take a pushchair to the end.
| Walk | Distance and time | Start | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Torre de les Caletes | About 4 km return, 1.5 hours | End of Calle Sierra Dorada, Rincón de Loix | Pushchair-friendly to the 17th-century tower; no water fountains |
| Tossal de la Cala | About 2.5 km return, 1 hour | Start of Paseo de Poniente | Easy; Iberian and Roman remains; not for pushchairs |
| El Moralet | Circular woodland route | Guillermo Amor stadium | Zip line, picnic areas and playground |
| La Cruz | 5 km return, about 3 hours | Rincón de Loix tourist point | 237 m climb; better for older children |
Boats, karts and days out
Beyond the parks, the most popular family outings are the island boat, karting and a trip inland to the dinosaurs and waterfalls at Algar.
- Benidorm Island boat: about €15–22 per person, roughly 20 minutes each way from the port.
- Karting Benidorm: daily 10:30–20:00, with karts for children, teenagers and adults.
- DinoPark Algar, about 17 km away: around 30 life-size dinosaurs, €20 for over-13s and €15 for ages 4–12, open March to November.
- The Algar waterfalls next door have river pools for paddling; bring water shoes. See Algar waterfalls from Benidorm.
- Soft play centres for wet or very hot days include Chiqui Park Piruetes, El Escondite, Festilandia, Happyland and Magic Place (see the Benidorm rainy day guide).

Benidorm with Kids — FAQs
Is Benidorm good for families with young children?
Yes. Levante and Poniente have lifeguards, play areas and pushchair access, the promenades are flat, and there are around 20 free playgrounds. Mundomar's shows and the kids' area at Aqualandia suit under-5s, and many hotels run kids' clubs. Avoid staying on the Strip itself if you want quiet evenings.
Which Benidorm park is best for toddlers?
Mundomar is the gentlest, with dolphin, sea lion and parrot shows and a picnic area with microwaves. Aqualandia's kids' area and Mini Zig-Zag suit small children in summer, and under-3s go free at both. Terra Mítica's big rides need 1.30–1.40 m, so toddlers will only use the family zones.
How much are children's tickets for Aqualandia?
Junior tickets for ages 4–12 are €33 at the gate or €28 online on the official price list, and children aged 0–3 go free. An afternoon ticket from 15:00 costs €26 at the gate. A one-day combo with Mundomar costs €33 for a junior. Aqualandia closed for 2026 on 27 September.
Are Benidorm beaches safe for children?
The main beaches are lifeguarded all year according to the council, with reinforced cover from 1 June to 30 September: 10:00–19:00 in June and 09:00–20:00 from July to September. Levante and Poniente each had nine lifeguards in summer 2026. Always follow the flags and keep small children within reach.
Do kids pay on the TRAM in Benidorm?
Under-14s travel free on the TRAM until 31 December 2026 under a temporary regional discount announced with the October 2026 fare changes. After that date, check the fares before you travel, as discounts may change. Benidorm's urban buses charge €1.60 for a single, with no free travel for children listed.
What can kids do in Benidorm in the evening?
Many hotels run kids' clubs and mini discos in the early evening, the free-entertainment listings show early family-friendly acts, and the Parque de l'Aigüera playgrounds are popular once the heat drops. In summer the night craft market runs daily from 19:30 in the Old Town squares.
