October is Benidorm's last real summer month. Averages of 25°C, a sea still at 22°C and mostly settled weather make it the shoulder-season sweet spot — especially for anyone who found August too hot and too expensive.
The strip is still open, the beaches are still full, but you can hear yourself think. UK half-term brings a busy week, but the rest of the month feels genuinely mellow.

October is meteorologically the wettest month on the Costa Blanca — most years' rain arrives in one or two DANA storm events rather than as steady rain. Between those events the weather tends to be spectacularly warm and clear. It's a month of extremes: 27°C beach days followed by an afternoon of biblical rain, then straight back to blue skies.
