Almond blossom, half-term crowds and the first hint of spring
Benidorm in February — at a glance
February in Benidorm is the pivot month — the last real touch of winter for the first week, then a definite spring lean once the almond blossom appears. Averages climb one degree from January to 18°C, but the number of properly warm days rises much faster.
It's also the busiest of the winter months, with UK half-term filling the family-friendly hotels and Carnival weekend bringing a burst of colour to the Old Town.
What was February 2025 actually like in Benidorm?

Benidorm February — the deeper picture
February's headline weather trick is the occasional Saharan warm pull — high pressure over North Africa drags hot dry air over the Costa Blanca for two or three days and lifts temperatures 8–10°C above the seasonal norm. February 2025's 26°C week and February 2019's 27°C spell are the recent examples. It's the reason experienced regulars keep shorts in the case even in the depths of winter.
Compared to the UK: The UK still sits at 6–9°C in February. Benidorm's 18°C makes it a Vitamin-D reset with a two-and-a-half hour flight.
