February in Benidorm is the pivot month — the last real touch of winter for the first week, then a definite spring lean once the almond blossom appears. Averages climb one degree from January to 18°C, but the number of properly warm days rises much faster.
It's also the busiest of the winter months, with UK half-term filling the family-friendly hotels and Carnival weekend bringing a burst of colour to the Old Town.
What was February 2025 actually like in Benidorm?
February 2025 delivered the warmest week the resort had recorded since 2020 — a Saharan air pull-up on the 12th–15th sent the thermometer to 26°C and the beaches filled with UK half-termers in shorts. The month closed with a run of clear cool nights that dropped to 4°C on the 27th.

Benidorm February — the deeper picture
February's headline weather trick is the occasional Saharan warm pull — high pressure over North Africa drags hot dry air over the Costa Blanca for two or three days and lifts temperatures 8–10°C above the seasonal norm. February 2025's 26°C week and February 2019's 27°C spell are the recent examples. It's the reason experienced regulars keep shorts in the case even in the depths of winter.
