It's the year's first busy period. Easter week always fills the family hotels and lifts flight prices, but the shoulder days either side of Easter are still excellent value with the same weather.

April 2025 was warm but the wettest of the last five, with a stubborn low-pressure system parking off Valencia in the second week and dropping 45mm of rain in three days. Easter Sunday (20 April) recovered to a sunny 24°C and packed the beaches.

Semana Santa (Holy Week) processions bring floats, brass bands and hooded penitents through the Old Town. Sant Jordi (23 April) sees books and roses on Old Town street stalls.

Terra Natura zoo covers most of a wet day, the Aqualandia sister-park Mundomar is largely covered, and the Palace runs Easter special shows.
Benidorm April — the deeper picture
April is the meteorological transition month. Early-April Atlantic weather can still send showers over the Costa Blanca — the wettest week of Benidorm's whole year can occasionally land in mid-April. But by month-end the summer high-pressure pattern is usually anchored, delivering the settled 24°C blue-sky days that define May onwards.
