December in Benidorm is a tale of two moods. Early December is quiet, cheap and mild — one of the year's best-value weeks for a winter-sun escape. From about the 20th onwards it fills up with Christmas and New Year visitors, prices jump, and the resort becomes a genuine holiday destination again.

Weather-wise it's classic Costa Blanca winter — 17°C afternoons in the sun, cool 8°C nights, mostly dry with the odd rainy week, and long light lunches on Old Town terraces.
