Benidorm Carnival

Benidorm's Carnaval falls in February, in the run-up to Lent. The town holds a children's parade and an evening adult parade with comparsas — costumed groups who spend months on their outfits — plus music in the squares.

It is smaller than the November fiestas but a welcome splash of colour in the quietest part of the winter season, and plenty of British visitors join in with fancy dress.
