Marina Hotel Benidorm is exactly the kind of hotel a lot of people come back to year after year: a friendly, well-run 3-star directly on the Levante seafront, where you can step out of reception, cross the promenade and put your feet in the sand. For the price point — usually well below the 4-stars further back from the beach — the Marina is hard to beat on location.
It is not a flashy resort. The Marina sells itself on a great seafront position, a reliable rooftop pool with one of the best views in Benidorm, generous half-board buffets and a long-standing repeat clientele of British and Spanish couples. For 2026 it remains one of the most-searched seafront 3-stars on Levante and one of the most-recommended hotels by walking-holiday and winter-sun guests in particular.

Marina Hotel Benidorm — the seafront location
The Marina Hotel Benidorm sits directly on Avenida Doctor Severo Ochoa, the road that fronts Levante Beach. There is no other hotel between the Marina and the promenade — when you walk out of reception, you cross a single pedestrianised street and you're on the sand.
That seafront position is the single biggest selling point. You wake up to sea views, you can wander out for a sunrise walk along the promenade before breakfast, and you don't need to plan a full beach expedition to get an hour in the sea before lunch. Older guests and walking-holiday couples in particular rave about this in reviews.
The Marina is mid-way along Levante, which means the Old Town and Casco Antiguo are around a 15-minute promenade walk to the west, and the English zone (Calle Gerona) is around a 12–15 minute walk back from the beach. You really can be car-free for the whole holiday from this hotel.
Rooms — and why you must request a sea-view
The Marina has both standard and sea-view rooms. Booking a standard inland room is a missed opportunity — the price gap to a sea-view at the Marina is small, and a sea-view room with a balcony directly over Levante Beach is genuinely one of the best-value upgrades in Benidorm.
Rooms are traditional but well kept — tiled floors, twin or double beds, en-suite shower bathroom, air conditioning, a small fridge, safe (extra), and a TV with UK channels. Most have a full balcony with table and chairs.
Triple and family rooms are available, but they sleep more by squeezing in additional beds rather than offering a separate space, so larger families tend to book two connecting rooms instead.
Pool, rooftop terrace and amenities
The Marina Hotel Benidorm has a rooftop pool — one of those small, classic Benidorm rooftops with a panoramic view that turns into the social hub of the hotel from about 11am to 6pm. There is a poolside snack bar serving drinks and light bites, plenty of free loungers, and a glass screen so the wind doesn't ruin the upper deck.
Amenities are simple and well-judged: 24-hour reception, lift access, free Wi-Fi throughout, lounge bar in the lobby with nightly entertainment, daily housekeeping and a small basement gym. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available on request.
Food — buffet half board done well
Most Marina guests are on half board, and the buffet is genuinely a highlight for the price. Breakfast covers the full continental and cooked spread (eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, fresh fruit, cold cuts, breads), and dinner runs themed nights through the week — Spanish, Italian, BBQ, fish — with live carving and a kids' corner with familiar British food.
Drinks are charged on consumption at the bar (the Marina is not all-inclusive), which suits the typical guest profile — most couples here prefer to go out for a Spanish menu del día at lunch and come back for the included dinner.
Entertainment & atmosphere
Evenings at the Marina are calmer than the larger 4-star resorts. There is usually a singer, duo or tribute act in the lobby bar five or six nights a week, with the show finishing around 11pm. Guests who want a livelier night head out — the English zone is a 15-minute walk and the seafront promenade itself buzzes until late.
The Marina is particularly popular with the over-50s and winter-sun market — November through March it is one of the busiest seafront 3-stars in Benidorm thanks to its calm atmosphere, repeat customer base and unbeatable promenade location.
