Flamingo Oasis Hotel Benidorm

The centrepiece of Flamingo Oasis is its large lake-shaped outdoor swimming pool — one of the biggest pool footprints of any hotel in Benidorm — surrounded by a generous sun terrace with rows of loungers, palms and a pool bar. It's the kind of pool you can spend an entire day around without feeling crowded, even in high season.

There's a separate shallow children's pool with flamingo sculptures and shaded areas, a fenced-off playground next to it, and quieter grassy corners tucked behind the planting. Indoors, the lobby opens onto a striking wooden pergola atrium over an ornamental pond and rockery — a bit of Benidorm architecture from the resort's boom era, and still one of its most photographed hotel interiors.

Rooms at Flamingo Oasis are spacious and bright, with a private balcony or terrace on every one — most of them looking out over the Benidorm skyline, the mountains behind the resort or the pool. Standard Double Rooms sleep up to four and are the workhorse of the hotel, working well for couples, friends and small families.

Every room has individually controlled air conditioning, a fully equipped bathroom with hairdryer, satellite TV, a minibar/fridge, a kettle for tea and coffee, and an in-room safe (extra charge). Adults travelling as a couple can upgrade to a Club Room — the same footprint but with an adults-only recommendation, quieter zoning and access to the top-floor Skyline facilities.

Dining is centred on a large buffet-style main restaurant serving Spanish and international dishes, with regular themed nights (Italian, Asian, gala buffet). Board options run from bed & breakfast through half board and all-inclusive depending on the package you book.

For drinks there's a Lobby Bar for evening shows, a Piano Bar (adults-recommended, open in the winter season), a Pool Bar with light bites through the summer, and the star attraction — the Skyline Rooftop Bar on the 25th floor, adults-only and summer-season, with 360° views over Benidorm and the Sierra Helada. It's one of the few genuine rooftop bars in a Benidorm hotel that's actually worth going up to at sunset.

The wellness area has an indoor pool, sauna and dedicated massage cabins (treatments and spa access are chargeable extras) — a genuine bad-weather backup if the outdoor pool is closed off-season. Alongside it there's a fully equipped gym, a tennis court, boccia, table tennis and a games room with billiards.

Entertainment runs both day and night: daytime animation around the pool, kids' activities in the MedKids club (summer season) with a mini club, playground and a mini-golf course, and full evening shows in the theatre — live music, dance productions and family-friendly variety acts. It's a hotel designed so you never have to leave for a full day of activity if you don't want to.

Flamingo Oasis is on Avenida Dr. Severo Ochoa 3, at the eastern end of Rincón de Loix. It's about a 15-minute walk down to Playa de Levante along the flat streets of the Levante grid, and roughly the same to the top of Calle Gerona and the main strip of British and Irish bars — close enough for a night out, far enough back that the hotel itself stays quiet.

Aqualandia and Mundomar are a short walk uphill from the hotel, Terra Mítica theme park is a 10-minute drive inland, and Alicante Airport (ALC) is roughly 45 minutes away by pre-booked private transfer or taxi.

Flamingo Oasis is family- and couples-oriented and is not recommended for stag, hen or large group party bookings. Hen/stag groups are charged a €100 per person cash security deposit at check-in, and any booking of 5 rooms or more is treated as a group booking and is subject to approval by the hotel before the reservation is confirmed.

If you're travelling as a group of friends and want a party-hotel base, other Rincón de Loix hotels closer to the strip will suit you better — but for families, couples and quieter groups, Flamingo Oasis is one of the most complete 4-star options in this zone.
