Hotel Don Pancho is one of the most recognised hotels in Benidorm. Set on Avenida del Mediterráneo right where Levante curves up towards Rincón de Loix, the Don Pancho has been a fixture of the Levante skyline for decades — that distinctive curved facade, the signature stone Mayan-style entrance, and the big poolside terrace are unmistakable to anyone who has spent a holiday in Benidorm.

For 2026, Hotel Don Pancho Benidorm remains one of the most-booked 4-stars on Levante. The hotel is adults-recommended (typically 14+), so the atmosphere stays calm and grown-up — couples and mature travellers come back year after year for the sea-view rooms, the proper resort pool, the rooftop sky bar and one of the best seafront-adjacent locations in the resort.

Hotel Don Pancho Benidorm — the location

Don Pancho sits on Avenida del Mediterráneo, the main artery running parallel to Levante Beach. From the front entrance, you cross one road and you are on the promenade — Levante Beach is a one-minute walk away, with the cleanest, gently shelving end of the bay directly in front of the hotel.

The English square at Calle Gerona is a 5–7 minute walk up through Rincón de Loix, the Old Town tapas alleys are around a 15-minute walk along the promenade, and Mercadona, pharmacies, the daily market and the ALSA airport bus all sit within a five-minute radius. It is one of the most car-free-friendly hotel positions in Benidorm.

    Rooms at Hotel Don Pancho

Rooms at Don Pancho have been refurbished in waves over recent years, and the newer-refurbished sea-view rooms are the ones to book. Standard sea-view doubles are bright and modern, with a king or twin layout, a desk and seating area, a flat-screen TV, a large bathroom with rainfall shower, and a proper full-length balcony with table and chairs directly overlooking Benidorm Bay.

Twin sea-view rooms have the same balcony and view, with two single beds and a small desk area — ideal for friends sharing or older couples. Inland-view rooms exist but are noticeably less impressive, and the price gap to a sea-view at the Don Pancho is small. If you only take one tip from this page, ask for a high-floor sea-view at check-in.

Connecting rooms are available for small groups travelling together. The hotel is lift-served and has wheelchair-adapted rooms on request. Note that Don Pancho is an adults-recommended hotel with a minimum age (typically 14+), so it is not set up for young children.

    Pools, sun terrace & rooftop

Don Pancho has a large main pool at the front of the hotel — that famous illuminated terrace you see in the dusk photos — surrounded by sun loungers, parasols and a poolside snack bar. A heated indoor pool in the spa area runs through the winter season. There are no dedicated children's pools, splash zones or kids' clubs — the property is designed around an adult crowd.

The rooftop is the other star feature: a wraparound terrace with a curved sky bar, lounge seating and a small lawned chill-out zone with skyline views over Benidorm and the moonrise over the Sierra Helada. It is one of the most atmospheric spots in the hotel for a sunset cocktail.

Food — buffet half board, themed nights and the show kitchen

Most Don Pancho guests are on half board, and the buffet is a step above the Benidorm 4-star average. The main restaurant has live cooking stations and a proper show kitchen — fresh pasta, grilled fish, plancha-cooked meats, an Asian wok and a carving station all running through dinner. Themed nights rotate through the week (Spanish, Italian, BBQ, fish).

Breakfast is a full continental and cooked spread with eggs to order, fresh fruit, pastries and a generous cold buffet. À la carte options are available for an upgrade. Drinks are paid on consumption at the bars — the Don Pancho is not all-inclusive, which most regulars consider an advantage given how walkable the rest of Levante is.

    Spa, gym and amenities

Don Pancho has a proper spa with a heated indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi and a treatment menu (massages, facials, couples' treatments). The gym is fully equipped and rarely busy. Standard amenities cover 24-hour multilingual reception, lift access, free Wi-Fi throughout, daily housekeeping, lounge bar, lobby piano, luggage storage and on-site underground parking (extra).

The lobby lounge — with its signature Mayan stone wall and original 1970s-era furniture mixed with newer pieces — is one of the most distinctive hotel interiors in Benidorm and a recurring favourite in guest reviews.

    Atmosphere and entertainment

Don Pancho runs a calmer, more grown-up evening than the all-inclusive resorts further into Rincón de Loix. Expect a pianist or live duo in the lobby lounge most nights, ballroom and flamenco shows in the function room, an occasional tribute act in the show lounge, and a cocktail-focused crowd up on the rooftop sky bar. As an adults-recommended hotel (14+), the vibe is sophisticated rather than animation-led — it suits couples and friend groups looking for a polished base.

For shows, the English square is a 5–7 minute walk and the Old Town tapas alleys are 15 minutes along the promenade — so guests typically use Don Pancho as their daytime and pre-dinner base and head out for the headline tribute acts later.
