It is also the wettest spring month at 4.1 rain days, and the sea is still cold at 16.3°C. Easter falls in March in 2027, so April is a calmer month for walking, day trips and open-air zoos.

What's on in Benidorm in April
April 2027 has no fixed headline festival in our research, which makes it one of the calmer months. With Easter Monday on 29 March, Spanish holiday crowds have gone by the first week.

What's open and closed in April
April is the in-between month for attractions: the zoos and marine park are open, the big rides and slides are not.
- Terra Natura: daily since 19 March, per taquilla.com, opening at 10:30.
- Mundomar: open 10:00–18:00, per taquilla.com. It is mostly outdoors, so pick a dry day.
- Terra Mítica: closed; the 2026 season opened on 15 May.
- Aqualandia: closed; the 2026 season opened on 23 May.
- Cable Ski Benidorm: Visit Benidorm says the Levante platform runs from Easter to October.
- DinoPark Algar: open 10:00–18:00 from March, according to taquilla.com.
Is April a good time to visit Benidorm?
April is a strong choice for active visitors who want warmth without summer crowds. It is not a beach-swimming month.
- Couples and walkers: ideal for the 8 km Serra Gelada crossing or the 5 km Ruta La Cruz. See day trips from Benidorm for Guadalest and the Algar waterfalls.
- Families: zoo and dolphin days work, but children wanting slides should wait for late May. See Benidorm with kids.

Packing and practical tips for April
Bring a light waterproof for the odd shower and a fleece for 11°C evenings. Sun cream matters now: 8.2 hours of sun a day can burn on a hillside walk. If Spain's Easter falls in April in your travel year, expect busier beaches that week. Benidorm in May is when the big parks reopen.

Benidorm in April — FAQs
Is April a good time to visit Benidorm?
Yes, for walking, sightseeing and mild sunshine. Averages are 21.3°C by day with 8.2 hours of sun. The sea is still about 16°C and Aqualandia and Terra Mítica stay shut until May, so it is not the month for water parks or long swims.
Is Aqualandia open in April?
No. Aqualandia's 2026 season ran from 23 May to 27 September, and its official calendar only covers May to September. The 2027 opening date had not been published when we checked.
Does it rain much in Benidorm in April?
A little more than in winter. AEMET normals give 4.1 days with 1 mm or more and 29 mm in total, the wettest of the spring months. Most days are still dry.
Can you swim in the sea in April?
The average sea temperature is 16.3°C, which most people find too cold for more than a quick dip. The sea warms quickly from May (19.1°C) and is comfortable for most swimmers from June at 22.6°C.
Is Terra Mítica open in April?
No. In 2026 Terra Mítica opened on 15 May, and Visit Benidorm describes its season as mid-May to early November. Terra Natura and Mundomar are the theme-park options in April.
