Benidorm Old Town at Night
Benidorm's Old Town is the best part of the resort for an evening that mixes Spanish tapas with British bars, drag cabaret and live music, all in a few narrow streets between the church and Levante beach. Here is where to start, where to go next and what's on tonight.
Start with tapas
Begin on Calle Santo Domingo — Tapas Alley — with pinchos and a caña in two or three bars. It is busiest from 20:00 to 23:00.
British bars
The gay village
The Old Town is home to Benidorm's gay village, centred on drag cabaret at Kafee Klee and Almirante. It is welcoming to everyone and lively until the small hours.
Getting home

Late nights in the Old Town
Weekends are busiest; for a quieter evening try Sunday to Wednesday, when terraces have space and the bartenders have time to chat.
After the tapas bars close around midnight, the action moves to the cocktail bars and late venues in the lanes. The Old Town is compact enough that you can walk everywhere, and the promenade back to Levante is well lit.
Eating before you go out
The Old Town is the best place in Benidorm to eat before a night out. Calle Santo Domingo — Tapas Alley — has a dozen tapas bars side by side; order a few plates at each rather than a full meal at one. Spanish dinner times are late, and the lanes are busiest from about 21:30.
Many bars have no English menu, so pointing at the counter is perfectly acceptable.
The gay village
The streets around Calle Santo Domingo and the Plaza de la Constitución form Benidorm's gay village, with drag bars, cocktail bars and late clubs.

Getting there from the main hotel zones
The Old Town sits on the headland between Levante and Poniente beaches. Start with tapas on Calle Santo Domingo, walk up to the Balcón del Mediterráneo for the view, then head into the lanes for bars and late music.
It has a more Spanish feel than the Rincón: later dinners, more terraces and a big gay scene.
