Ali G Rap & Hip-Hop Show Benidorm
Ali G Rap Goldies is a hip-hop and rap party act in the 9pm slot at The Red Lion on Calle Gerona, just before Sticky Star. It pairs Sacha Baron Cohen's famous character with a set of old-school hip-hop and garage anthems. It is a sing-along party show that goes down especially well with groups in their thirties and forties.
- Entry: Free entry — no tickets. Buy a drink at the bar; some venues ask for a minimum one-drink purchase during the show.
- Length: Shows run around 45 minutes to an hour.

What the show is
The performer stays in character as Ali G throughout — tracksuit, tinted glasses and the catchphrases — and works through rap and garage classics from the 1990s and 2000s. The humour is cheeky, but it is not an adult show; the Red Lion's adult acts start afterwards.
It is a high-energy act built for the crowd to join in, so expect plenty of shouting along and banter with the front tables.
The Red Lion
The Red Lion is a big British-style show bar on Calle Gerona with entertainment every night. Ali G Rap Goldies appears on selected nights in its programme. The dates table above refreshes from the bar's listings daily and shows times exactly as advertised, in Spanish time.
Tips
Entry is free; you buy drinks. The Red Lion fills up fast at weekends, so arrive before the act starts if you want a seat.
Getting there
The Red Lion is at Calle Gerona 34, among the cluster of British show bars known as the Strip. It is a separate venue from The Red Lion 2 on Avenida Dr. Severo Ochoa. It is around ten minutes on foot from the eastern end of Levante beach, and most Rincón hotels are within a 15-minute walk.
Show dates on this page come from the venues' own listings and are checked every day, so if Ali G Rap Goldies is moved or cancelled the table updates automatically. Times are always shown exactly as the venue advertises them, in Spanish time, whatever language you read the site in.
