Best Nightclubs in Benidorm

When the show bars on the Strip start to close around 4am, Benidorm's nightclubs take over, mostly on the Square (Avenida de Mallorca) and around Levante, staying open until 5am or 6am. This guide covers the main clubs, what they play, entry, opening times, dress codes and how to get there.

The Square — Benidorm's club strip

The Square, on Avenida de Mallorca near the Rincón de Loix, is where most groups end the night. A ring of clubs and late bars faces a central plaza, so you can try two or three in a night without walking far. It warms up after 1am and is at its busiest between 2am and 5am, especially at weekends and through summer.

Penelope, KM and the big clubs

    Broadway and late cabaret

Broadway Cabaret mixes late shows with a party atmosphere and is a good bridge between the show bars and the clubs. Café Benidorm runs late into the night and is handy if you want somewhere a little calmer to finish.

Entry, opening times and dress code

Most clubs open from around midnight and close at 5am or 6am. Promoters hand out free-entry flyers on the Strip and the Square, so you rarely need to pay full price. Dress codes are relaxed at the British-oriented clubs; the bigger Spanish clubs may refuse sportswear, flip-flops or large groups of men in fancy dress, so check before you go.

    Getting there and getting home

The Square is a short walk from the Rincón de Loix and about 15 minutes from Calle Gerona. Clubs further out, such as KM, need a taxi. Licensed taxis queue near the Square late at night; see our taxis guide for numbers. Keep valuables secure and drink water in the summer heat.

Before the club: where to warm up

The best way to start a club night is on the Strip. Show bars such as Morgan Tavern, Western Saloon and The Red Lion are free entry and run live acts from around 21:00, so you can see a tribute or a comedian before heading to the clubs. Our bar crawl guide maps out a route down Calle Gerona in walking order, ending close to the Square.

If you prefer somewhere calmer, the Old Town has late bars and drag cabaret that stay open into the early hours, and Levante has seafront bars with music and terraces.

    Late-night food

After the clubs, kebab shops, pizza takeaways and 24-hour cafés around the Square and the Rincón de Loix keep going until dawn. A full English breakfast in the Rincón is a Benidorm rite of passage once the sun comes up.

    What the clubs play

Benidorm's British-oriented clubs play a mix of chart hits, house, R&B and party anthems, with plenty of sing-along classics late in the night. The bigger Spanish clubs lean more towards house, reggaeton and Latin music and attract a more local crowd, especially at weekends. Summer brings themed nights, foam parties and visiting DJs; winter is quieter, with some clubs opening only at weekends.

    How a typical night works

Most people start in the show bars on the Strip from around 21:00, catching two or three acts before heading to the clubs after the bars wind down. The Square fills up from about 1am, and the busiest hours are between 2am and 5am. If you want to dance earlier, a few late bars on the Square and in Levante play music from midnight.

Promoters work the Strip and the Square every night handing out flyers, often with free entry or a free drink. It is worth taking a few and comparing — but check the small print, as some offers only apply before a certain time.

Clubbing for stag and hen groups

Big groups in fancy dress are welcome at most of the British-oriented clubs, and the Square is used to stag and hen parties every weekend. The larger Spanish clubs can be stricter about big groups of men, sportswear and fancy dress, so split into smaller groups or change before heading there. Our stag and hen guides cover the best bars to visit before the clubs.

Staying safe on a night out

Benidorm's club areas are busy and well policed, but take normal precautions: keep phones and wallets in front pockets, never leave a drink unattended and agree a meeting point with your group. Licensed taxis queue near the Square at closing time, and the walk back to the Rincón de Loix is short and well lit. In summer, drink water between rounds — it is still warm at 4am.

    Winter clubbing

From November to March, Benidorm is quieter and some clubs reduce their opening days or close for a few weeks. The Square still has life at weekends, and the show bars on the Strip continue nightly. Check our winter closures guide before travelling in the off-season.
